Lahore: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has approved 8 days physical remand of Shah Rez son of Aleema Khan and nephew of Imran Khan on police plea in May 9 case.
Police have arrested Sher Shah Khan, second son of Aleema Khan.
Police had arrested Shahrez Khan son of Aleema Khan and nephew of Imran Khan from his residence in Lahore in siege and arson case.
According to family sources, Sher Shah Khan was arrested near his residence. Persons in plain clothes arrested him. Police personnel were also with them.
Shah Rez Azim was presented in ATC Lahore. Judge Manzar Ali Gill of ATC heard his case.
Police took the plea the accused was nominated in witness statement in May 9 Jinnah House attack case. Phone and other things have to be recovered from him.
Suleman Akram Raja counsel for the accused raised the question 27 months have passed. Police came to know now that he was involved. The witness statement was read out 1500 time in the court. This name is not anywhere therein. a day before court approved bail plea of PTI founder and in the evening police reached there to arrest his nephews. Malafide intent is clearly visible from it.
He further said Shah Rez Azim is world level sports man. He has gone abroad several times and returned to Pakistan. He was not summoned in any case ever before. He was in Chitral from May 6 to 13. He should not only be freed forthwith but also he should be discharged.
Suleman Akram Raja argued You have already discharged his mother.
On the other hand police sought 30 days remand of Shah Rez Azim.
Upon it Suleman Akram Raja said they are seeking remand for 30 days which is injustice.
The court remarked I see when the file of witness statement comes.
Police presented record of Jinnah House case against Shah Rez in the court.
DSP legal told the court the accused Shah Rez is not involved in any other case except Jinnah House case.
The court reserved the judgment after seeing the record and hearing the arguments.
Later the court while announcing decision on police application approved 8 days physical remand of Shah Rez.
