Lahore: Nephew of Imran Khan and son of Aleema Khan Shah Rez has been presented in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in May 9 case.

The court has reserved judgment on remand application filed by Police.

Shah Rez was arrested from his residence in Lahore in May 9 siege and arson case

Shah Rez Azim was presented in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore. Judge Manzar Ali Gill is hearing his case .

Police took the plea that the accused was nominated in witness statement in May 9 Jinnah House attack case. The accused was arrested a day before and phone and other things have to be recovered from him as yet.

Suleman Akram Raja counsel for the accused raised the question 27 months have passed and did police come to know about his involvement now. Witness statement was read out in the court 1500 times. This name is not mentioned any where. Yesterday the bail of PTI founder was approved and they reached there to arrest nephews of Imran Khan. Ill intent is clearly visible.

He further said Shah Rez Azim is world level sports man. He has gone abroad several times and returned to Pakistan. He was not summoned in any case ever before. He was in Chitral from May 6 to 13. He should not only be freed forthwith be also he should be discharged.

Suleman Akram Raja argued You have already discharged his mother.

On the other hand police sought 15 days remand of Shah Rez Azim.

Upon it Suleman Akram Raja said they are seeking remand for 30 days which is injustice.

The court remarked I see when the file of witness statement comes.

Police presented record of Jinnah House case against Shah Rez in the court.

DSP legal told the court the accused Shah Rez is not involved in any other case except Jinnah House case.

The court reserved the judgment after seeing the record and hearing the arguments.
