Islamabad: 4 government employees have been awarded punishment by official secret act court for leaking sensitive information.
As per media reports, special court official secret act has announced sentence to four government employees in the case of leaking sensitive information while 2 have been acquitted.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra of official secret act court announced the decision in the case.
According to decision accused Safdar ur Rehman has been awarded 10 years punishment and the accused Tafzil ur Rehman, Muhammad Waqar have been sentenced to 5 years in jail each.
The court acquitted the accused Mujtaba and Muhammad Shahid on the basis of lack of evidence.
It is pertinent to mention here FIA had registered case against the government employees. They accused were charged with providing sensitive information to foreign embassy.
