Court extends interim bail of PTI leaders in PTI Long March vandalizing case

ISLAMABAD: Sessions Judge Kamran Basharat Mufti has extended interim bail till June 20 of the accused  persons in PTI Long March vandalizing case.

 

The bail plea in respect of 38 accused persons including Shah Mehmood Qureshi came up for hearing in the court of Sessions Judge Kamran Basharat Mufti Monday.

 

During the hearing of the case the judge inquired  from prosecutor how many more people are  who have not joined the investigation.

 

The prosecutor told the court several statements have been recorded. But people in large  number have not joined investigation.

 

Babar Awan counsel for PTI told the court “ our leaders went to police stations but reply was given Sahb is not present.

 

The court remarked we do so that we hold arguments process on  bail applications police station wise.

 

Babar Awan said let it go the way it is going. We will not disappoint you. All the accused will appear.

 

The court remarked  you should get include all the accused in investigation and get their attendance marked. They are complaining they go to police station and investigation office does not become available.

 

The court directed the prosecutor in the court to get include all in the investigation.

 

Shireen Mazari requested the court “ I want to say some thing. I have joined investigation. My counsel will give arguments today.

 

The court remarked we have set Tuesday and we will put the matter to arguments this day.

 

Shireen Mazari requested the court “ I should be exempted from attendance.

 

The court while addressing Babar Awan remarked only two counsels should appear on next hearing for arguments.

 

The judge remarked  lawyers are more than the accused persons in number in the court room.

 

Shireen Mazari, Zartaj Gul and Imran Ismail filed the application for exemption.

 

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till June 20.
