Court reserves judgment on whether money laundering case will run against Asif Zardari, Faryal Talpur or otherwise

ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad has reserved judgment on the matter of whether money laundering case against former president Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur will run or otherwise.

The court while summoning arguments on the jurisdiction of court in Park Lane reference adjourned the hearing of the case till January 25.

The petition filed against Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur came up for hearing in AC Islamabad Thursday.

Nasir Javed Rana judge of AC Islamabad took up the case for hearing.

Farooq H Naik gave arguments on the petitions of Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur.

The counsel said in his arguments allegation of Rs 30 million has been leveled against Asif Ali Zardari in the reference .NAB has not proved this allegation so far too.

Under New NAB laws the reference does not fall in the jurisdiction of the court, he added

Farooq H Naik requested that the court should return this reference as per law.

Nsir Javed judge AC Islamabad reserved the judgment following the completion of the arguments.

The court also accepted the exemption from attendance plea for Jan 19 from Asif Ali Zardari.

The court while summoning arguments on its jurisdiction adjourned the hearing of the case till January 25.
