Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned hearing of contempt of court plea against the Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif for indefinite period.The court summoned the respondents for arguments on maintainability of the petition.The court said how can the petition be filed against the PM. Last time Additional Attorney General (AAG) had held out assurance for assisting in this matter.Deputy Attorney General (DAG) said PM enjoys immunity under article 248. Case can not be registered against Shehbaz Sharif as long as he is PM.The court remarked you should check Supreme Court (SC) decision first. The politicians had given statement in SC of not taking action . If SC has mentioned nothing in its decision in this regard then we will decide. You should present that decision of SC.The court said to the petitioner it is better that you should hire lawyer and contest case in the court. You should appear after making preparations on the point of immunity.According to petitioner PM Shehbaz Sharif used inappropriate words with reference to judges.
