Islamabad: Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has filed application for hike in power tariff.

CPPA has submitted application for raising cost Rs 1.20 per unit in NEPRA. The application by CPPA has been filed under the head of Fuel Price Adjustment for the month of June. NEPRA will hear this application on July 29.

Sources said an additional financial burden of Rs 18 billion will be shifted to consumers with the approval of this application.

The decision will be applicable to all consumers including K-Electric.
