Rawalpindi: The accused persons will be indicted on April 19 in three cases related to May 9 incident while the challans in 10 cases could not be presented in the court.
The hearing of May 9 incident related cases came up for hearing in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi led by Judge Amjid Ali Shah here Saturday.
Defence counsels and prosecutor appeared in the court.
Major (Retd) Tahir Sadiq, Wasiq Qayyum, Sadaqat Abbasi, opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Omar Ayub, Babar Awan, former interior minister Sheikh Rashid and others reached the court.
Copies of challan and record of the cases which were brought by police of respective police stations to court were distributed among the accused persons.
The court adjourned hearing of May 9 related 13 cases till April 19. The accused persons will be indicted in three cases on April 19. The challans of 10 cases could not be submitted in the court.
Police of 10 stations failed in presenting challans of 10 cases despite lapse of one and half year.
The court while expressing resentment over it ordered to present challans of 10 cases on next hearing.
The cases in which police have failed in submitting challans are attack on GHQ gate-4, attack on army musuem and torching sensitive building in Sadar.
