Rawalpindi: Jail trial in GHQ attack case could not take place due to absence of state witnesses.

GHQ attack case came up for hearing in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) led by Judge Amjid Ali Shah Saturday.

Copies of challan of cases were distributed among the accused persons. The court allowed the accused persons to return following the distribution of copies of challan of cases.

During the hearing both of the witnesses requested the state counsel that they cannot appear in the court due to their engagements.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till April 16.

It is pertinent to mention here the state witnesses are not appearing in the court since the last two months in GHQ attack case despite being summoned.

The court had summoned both the witnesses magistrate Mujtaba and sub inspector Riaz on April 12 (Saturday).

Later talking to media men defence counsel Faisal Malik advocate said if the witness don't come during next hearing on April 16 the trial will not take place too. The entire team of defence counsels is present. Witnesses are not coming.

He said we had filed application for clubbing all the cases related to May 9.

It is requested to court we want to give arguments in the presence of PTI founder.
