DC imposes dengue emergency in district Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi has imposed dengue emergency in all over district in view of persistent proliferation of Dengue virus and day to day rising number of Dengue patients.DC Rawalpindi has issued notification in this regard.The notification says as the dengue virus is reaching alarming proportion and number of dengue patients are on rise, therefore, emergency steps are inevitable . The committee constituted last year has also recommended these steps.DC Rawalpindi while announcing to impose dengue emergency under section B-59 of Punjab Local government rules-2023 has directed district health authority to take immediate and effective steps for elimination of dengue virus.According to sources more 134 dengue cases have been reported during the previous 24 hours bringing total number of dengue patients to 2277.268 dengue patients are under treatment in different hospitals of Rawalpindi.According to sources 57 new cases of dengue have been reported from Potohar town and 2 8 from municipal corporation limits.
