Lahore: DC Lahore, Syed Musa Raza, sprang into action early this morning, conducting inspections of various areas in Tehsil Cantt to oversee ongoing cleanliness operations. He reviewed sanitation efforts in KB Colony and Rohi Nala, and assessed the post-clearance cleanliness situation at Chacho Wali near Nawaz Sharif Interchange, where slums were recently removed. He instructed LWMC officials to ensure improvement in cleanliness across the city. The DC emphasised that the primary objective of the cleanliness drive is to achieve the "Lahore Clean Mission" and provide a hygienic environment to the residents. He expressed his determination to make Lahore a model district in terms of cleanliness. He warned LWMC officials to take strict action against those who burn garbage. The DC directed to promote awareness campaigns to encourage people to dispose of garbage at designated points. He instructed WASA officials to ensure thorough cleaning of Rohi Nala and not tolerate any negligence in this regard.
The DC emphasised that all resources should be utilised to relieve residents from the problems of filth, stench, and a polluted environment. He directed the MCL Regulation Wing to immediately remove illegal banners, streamers, and posters. The DC urged all departments to work together to enhance the city's beauty. He inspected the cleanliness work after the removal of slums at Chacho Wali near Nawaz Sharif Interchange. The DC directed that slums should be eradicated from the entire area, and nomads should be relocated. DC Syed Musa Raza stated that efforts are underway to complete the "Clean Mission" as per the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
