Islamabad: Decision has been taken to construct new convention centre of international standard in Islamabad.
Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the proposed site of new convention centre near Murree road-Bhara Kahu by pass. He inspected the proposed site of new convention centre.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi while issuing immediate orders during his visit said all encroachments on proposed site of new convention centre be removed. Indiscriminate action be taken against the illegal occupants and all illegal constructions be demolished.
He said no relief or compensation will be paid to illegal occupants. Providing facilities of international standard in Islamabad is resolve of the government.
He further said the completion of construction of new convention centre will facilitate to hold important international conferences including SCO and it will promote the positive image of the country.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Deputy Commissoner Islamabad Irfan Memon and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
