Lahore: Following the arrest of PTI leader Hammad Azhar decision has been taken to gear up the implementation of arrest warrants already issued against PTI leaders who are wanted in different cases.
As per media report PTI leaders who are facing courts warrants in different cases including November 2024 D Chowk protest are likely to be arrested.
Sources said that arrest warrants already issued against Junaid Akbar and Abdul Ghani in cases related to D Chowk protest will be implemented. The court's warrants issued against Shibli Farad, Murad Saeed and Hammad Azhar in judicial complex cases will also be implemented.
Zartaj Gull, Amir Masood Mughal, Dr Amjid Ali and Meena Khan Afridi too are included in the leaders who are wanted in different cases related to Islamabad.
Decision has been taken to move ahead the ongoing legal proceedings against Ali Amin Gandapur and Umar Tanvir Butt in Faizabad protest case.
Islamabad police has been directed to implement the court's warrants in respect of PTI leaders wanted in cases registered against them in different police stations.
