Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notice to Director General (DG) Immigration and others on contempt of court plea filed by former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry for not removing his name from ECL despite court's order and sought report till June 5.

Justice Inam Minhas of IHC heard the case Thursday.

During the hearing of the case, Faisal Chaudhry counsel for Fawad Chaudhry informed the court that name of his client is still in ECL despite previous order of court.

He requested the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the responsible persons.

The court issued notice to DG Immigration and others after hearing preliminary arguments besides seeking report till June 5.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till June 5.
