Directives issued for working out scheme to provide interest free loans to KP journalists


Peshawar: Directives have been issued to work out scheme for providing interest free loans to the journalists of KP. A meeting to Annual Development Program 2026-27 was held under KP Chief Minister (CM) Sohail Afridi.



New projects related to information and public relations, science technology and information technology , law , mines and minerals and Labor department came under consideration in the meeting.



Directives were issued to work out scheme to provide interest free loans to journalists to establish Media production an d broadcasting set ups.



Sohail Afridi said the interest free loans will help young journalists in self-employment besides setting up their own platforms. The journalists will be independent and empowered and will be able to perform their duties independently.



Directives were issued for establishment of media colonies for the journalists besides proposing schemes for improvement in press clubs in merged districts. CM KP also directed to set up Day care centers in all judicial complexes.



The matters related to establishment of Judicial Academy in Peshawar and district judicial complexes in Mansehra and Bajore also came under discussion.



Directives were issued to propose amendments for making law against harassment at work places more stringent and keeping the complaint proceedings secret.



Order was issued to propose scheme to end child labor in the province besides integrating these children in national mainstream



Directives were issued for more tree plantation in the areas having mines in the province. The proposal was given for launching digital internship program for youths and setting up technology incubation centers.
