Pakistan Army destroys Afghan Taliban posts for targeting civilians in South Waziristan

Peshawar: Pakistan Army destroyed multiple Afghan Taliban posts over unprovoked firing from across the border in Angoor Adda, South Waziristan.

Vigilant army operations prevented the Fitanah-ul-Khawarij group from infiltrating Pakistani territory. Following the failure of their infiltration attempt, Afghan Taliban militants targeted civilian areas.

The firing resulted in injuries to three civilians, including two women, who were immediately taken to Wana Hospital for treatment.

Local residents condemned the attack on civilians and urged the Pakistan Army to carry out a strong response.

Fighting between the two countries intensified in the final week of February after Afghan Taliban forces launched a border offensive, which they said was in response to alleged Pakistani airstrikes.
