Dera Ismail Khan: District Police Officer (DPO), Dera Ismail Khan held a meeting with all sector commanders, SDPOs, SHOs and other staff regarding Moharram-ul-haram under the chairmanship of Captain (Rtd) Najam Husnain.

In which Additional SP Dera Javed Awan, SP Investigation Shabbir Hussain, SP FRP Nisar Khan Marwat, SP CTD Iftikhar Khan, DSP Headquarters Asghar Ali Shah and all the sector commanders, SHOs and other staff participated.

DPO Dera Captain (Rtd) Najam Hussain Liaquat briefed all the participants and especially the concerned staff on each point regarding the security plan of Muharram and issued all the instructions to make the security foolproof.

DPO Dera also directed to tighten the blockade at all entrances and exits of the city, improve the checking process, and ensure the use of bulletproof helmets and jackets by all police personnel.

Apart from this, DPO Dera has directed to improve the security at all the ‘Thalajat’ stations, including making surveillance through CCTV cameras. Also directed the operational staff and other special branch teams to perform their duties at all times and maintain peace.

And issued instructions to keep a close watch on all unrelated persons and objects in order to maintain law and order as much as possible.

Instructions were issued to all sector commanders to increase mobile patrolling in their sectors and to put security on high alert.

Apart from this, to ensure the full implementation of Section 144, ban double riding of motorcycles from 1st of Muharram, while the complete ban on riding motorcycles on 8, 9, 10 of Muharram.
