Lahore: President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Hafeezur Rehman has departed from Islamabad Airport for Cairo, Egypt, to celebrate Eid with refugees from Gaza. Representing the people of Pakistan, he will distribute meat from sacrificial animals and gifts among orphaned children affected by the Gaza crisis.

Speaking before his departure, Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that Alkhidmat Foundation will sacrifice 1,000 cows in Ras Al-Gharb, a suburb of Cairo. After processing the meat at a slaughterhouse, it will be distributed fresh to Gaza refugees residing in Cairo and other parts of Egypt. Additionally, the meat will be preserved through proper packing and will be sent into Gaza as soon as the border opens, he added.

Within Gaza itself, he said that Alkhidmat Foundation is also sacrificing smaller animals to provide meat to those affected by the conflict. Dr. Hafeez stated that a special Eid event will be organized in Cairo for orphaned children whose parents were martyred in Gaza, adding they will be served sacrificial meat and given gifts.

Another major Eid event will cater to 1,000 Gaza refugee families, where meat will be distributed among them, he said. The objective, according to Dr. Hafeez, is to share joy and solidarity with displaced Gazans and orphaned children during Eid.

During his visit, Dr. Hafeezur Rehman will also meet with Alkhidmat Foundation's international partner organizations and humanitarian groups to assess and coordinate relief efforts for Palestine.
