Embezzlement in construction of road in Jhelum against Fawad Chaudhry: Hearing adjourned till November 11

Islamabad: Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad has adjourned till November 11 hearing of case of embezzlement in construction of road in Jhelum against former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry.The hearing has been adjourned on the plea of NAB prosecutor seeking time for filing report in the case.Fawad Chaudhry appeared in the court along with his counsel Faisal Chaudhry and NAB prosecutor Sohail Arif appeared in the court.Judge Nasir Javed Rana of AC Islamabad took up the case for hearing against Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday.NAB could not file report in the court so far.NAB prosecutor requested the court to grant more time for filing report.NAB prosecutor said constitutional amendment has come with reference to NAB. We have to see the law. We have to see facts in Fawad Chaudhry case. Some time is required.Judge Nasir Javed of AC said smilingly then withdraw the case.Fawad Chaudhry said while coming on rostrum the inquiry is running since more than 6 months. Case loses its legal position when th e inquiry goes beyond 6 months.NAB prosecutor said two weeks are required for filing report. Investigation has to be made.Later the court adjourned the hearing of the case of embezzlement in construction of road in Jhelum against Fawad Chaudhry till November 11.
