Lahore: A grand operation against encroachments is underway throughout the city under the directives of DC Lahore, Syed Musa Raza. Assistant Commissioner City, Babar Ali Rai, supervised the operation in Anarkali Bazaar, Temple Road, and other locations. He reviewed arrangements with the Anarkali Bazaar Association for sustained improvement. After multiple operations, encroachments have been cleared from Anarkali Bazaar, and the traffic police have arranged parking at Delhi Muslim Hotel. The Anarkali Bazaar Association has assured full cooperation to the administration.

Revenue staff will monitor encroachments and illegal parking in Anarkali Bazaar in two shifts. Instructions have been issued to issue challan tickets to motorcycles parked in Anarkali Bazaar. Under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner City, two carts were seized and an FIR was registered at Peer Makki Data Darbar. An operation was conducted to remove banners and encroachments in Lohari Gate, Anarkali Bazaar, Hall Road, and the back of Mayo Hospital. During the operation on Hall Road, 29 shops were sealed, and goods were confiscated. The confiscated goods have been deposited in the store.
