Peshawar: Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA) has filed contempt of court petition in Peshawar High Court (PHC) on non implementation of court's orders for establishment of law university in KP. Petition has been filed through secretary general Peshawar High Court Bar.Chairman Education Commission, provincial government and others have been made respondents in the petition. According to petition Peshawar High Court (PHC) had ordered provincial government in 2012 to establish law university. In 2015 Supreme Court had given directives to the respondents for establishment of law university. The respondents had given assurance in the court Khyber Law college will be given the status of university.The respondents had told the court that they will change the court's directives into recommendations and implement them. However 9 years have passed but court's orders have not been implemented. Law students are facing several difficulties due to lack of law university. It has been requested in the petition c ourt should ensure implementation of 2012 and 2015 decisions.
