Islamabad: The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, will undertake an official visit to Pakistan on June 1 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
According to the Foreign Office, Kaja Kallas and Ishaq Dar will co-chair the 8th Session of the Pakistan-European Union Strategic Dialogue, the highest-level platform for structured engagement between Pakistan and the EU.
During her visit, the EU High Representative is also scheduled to meet Pakistan's senior leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.
The Foreign Office said Pakistan highly values its longstanding and multidimensional partnership with the European Union, which is based on shared values, strong economic cooperation, and a mutual commitment to multilateralism.
The visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations and reflects the continued momentum of high-level political engagement between Pakistan and the European Union.
