Fair investigation impossible without resignation of three nominated officers: Fawad

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Senior leader Fawad Chaudhry said Sunday transparent probe into the Wazirabad incident was impossible unless the three nominated people resigned from their posts.

The PTI is constantly accusing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and a highly ranked military personal of plotting Imran Khan’s assassination bid. The PTI leadership has also demanded their resignations.

Talking to media on Sunday, Fawad Chaudhry said a judicial commission must be formed to investigate Imran’s assassination attempt, as well as Azam Swati’s video matter and slain journalist Arshad Sharif’s murder.

“Everything will come to limelight when this commission probes these four cases,” he maintained.

Fawad said the First Information Report (FIR) of Wazirabad incident could not be launched even 72 hours had gone past. “We govern Punjab but the whole system is hijacked,” he added.
