Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, held a key meeting with World Bank Managing Director Ms. Anna Bjerde on the sidelines of the AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies in Saudi Arabia. The discussions focused on progress under the Country Partnership Framework, covering sectors such as energy, education, health, climate resilience, debt-for-development swaps, fiscal reforms, and infrastructure. Both sides emphasized clear performance tracking and effective implementation to ensure tangible outcomes. Ms. Bjerde reaffirmed the World Bank's support for Pakistan's USD 20 billion, ten-year development program, while Senator Aurangzeb assured full federal and provincial cooperation to enhance coordination and delivery of measurable results.
