Islamabad:Former President of the Parliamentary Reporters Association (PRA) Bahzad Saleemi has stressed the need for unity among journalists, saying a strong and united PRA is essential to raise a stronger voice for journalists and protect their professional rights.

Addressing the Annual General Council Meeting of the Parliamentary Reporters Association of Pakistan, he highlighted the pressing challenges confronting journalists and media workers.

He emphasized the need to safeguard journalists' jobs, ensure timely payment of salaries by newspapers and television channels, and address the growing concerns of media professionals.

Bahzad Saleemi also called for making the PRA platform more active, effective and dynamic so that it could play a stronger role in highlighting journalists' issues, protecting their rights and safeguarding their professional interests.
