Rawalpindi: Defence counsels have filed petition in the court to record statements of the 13 witnesses again whose statements were recorded in the absence of Imran Khan.
Hearing of GHQ attack case was adjourned till October 7 being the judge Amjid Ali Shah unwell.
The court staff told with reference to today's hearing that the judge was unwell and he had taken leave.
Upon it the defence counsels marked the attendance and returned. The accused were also returned after marking their attendance.
The 3 prosecution witnesses also returned after marking their attendance.
Prosecutor Zahir Shah said there will be no court's proceedings being judge on leave.
Later the defence counsels filed petition for recording the statements of 13 witnesses again whose statements were recorded in the absence of Imran Khan. Imran Khan heard nothing. The statements recorded in the absence of accused and lawyers has no legal status.
It has been further said in the petition these statements were recorded under whatsapp call system after boycott. While it is must statement be recorded before the accused to meet the norms of fair trial.
The notices were issued to respondents on the plea of defence counsels.
