Islamabad: A tragic incident occurred at a private school located in Model Town, Islamabad, where a swing installed on the school's rooftop collapsed, causing multiple children to fall. As a result, a young student, Areem Fatima, succumbed to her injuries, while several other children sustained serious injuries.

The deceased child, Areem Fatima, was the daughter of Moeen Ahmed. Immediately after the incident, the injured children were shifted to a nearby hospital, where the condition of some was reported to be critical.

According to police, a case has been registered at Humak Police Station. The FIR includes charges of negligence against the school administration for endangering the lives of children. Police have arrested the school principal and the person responsible for installing the swing on the rooftop, while further investigation is underway.

Local residents and parents staged strong protests, demanding strict action against private schools that lack proper playgrounds and adequate safety arrangements for children. Protesters said that those who play with the lives of children should not be spared.

The administration has assured that strict legal action will be taken against those responsible and that effective measures will be adopted to prevent such incidents in the future.
