Islamabad: The federal government has announced Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for public sector employees, issuing a notification after approval from the prime minister.

According to the Cabinet Division notification, March 20 and 21 will be observed as official Eid-ul-Fitr holidays across the country.

Sunday, March 22, will already be a regular weekly holiday, while March 23 will be observed as a public holiday on account of Pakistan Day.

As a result, government employees will enjoy four consecutive holidays during the Eid period.
