Islamabad: Government has decided to abolish TV License fee from electricity bills.

TV license fee amounting to Rs 35 per month is received from domestic, commercial and industrial consumers through electricity bills.

Ministry of energy Power division has devised plan to remove TV license fee from electricity bills.

Plan has been worked out to abolish TV license fee and other unnecessary surcharges from electricity bills under the directives of Prime Minister.

About 1.5 billion rupees are received from 26 lac electricity consumers against TV license fee across the country.
