Islamabad: Foreign Office (FO) has informed about the important development on the matter of release of former senator Mushtaq Ahmad from Israeli detention.

According to FO spokesperson foreign ministry of Pakistan is making ceaseless efforts for safe return of former senator Mushtaq Ahamd Khan through its embassy in Amman capital of Jordan.

The spokesperson said we hope this process will be completed within next few days with the invaluable assistance of the Jordanian government.

He said Pakistan is deeply grateful to the brotherly government of Jordan for their exemplary cooperation and generous support of government of Jordan, our brother Muslim country.

It is pertinent to mention here former senator Mushtaq Ahamd Khan affiliated with JI was on board on Global Samud Flottila. Israeli troops had attacked flotella and arrested Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and several other persons.

Dozens of the people on board on flotilla have been released. However dozens of people including Mushtaq Ahmad Khan are still under the detention of Israeli troops.
