LAHORE:Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has said government position is not an employment but is a means for serving people.
Official responsibilities should not be considered merely job but you should work for bringing betterment in the lives of people because your decisions can influence lives of millions of people She said this while addressing officers of Provincial Management Service Sindh.
She held state has made investment in their education, training and professional capabilities. Therefore, it is now their responsibility to utilize their capabilities and talents for serving country and people.
She underlined Pakistan has given them identity and opportunities to go ahead. She herself feels proud for attaining education in Pakistan. . A big responsibility comes with government post . Running government seems to be easy apparently but it is a difficult job in fact.
She said the focus of her attention are performance and practical results. she considers such decisions important which benefit people and bring improvement in their lives.
She warned young officers not to avoid responsibilities by adopting traditional and easy path. Merely marking attendance , signing and not working by making the negligence of others justification is harmful to the country.
She held that young officers are future leadership of the country and they should make their post a means for serving people.
