Gujrat: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami North Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, has announced that the grand Ajtma-e-Aam of Jamaat-e-Islami scheduled to be held at Minar-e-Pakistan on November 21, 22, and 23 will be the largest in the country's history. He stated that Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, will formally announce the commencement of a nationwide organized movement for system change under the slogan 'Change the System.'
Dr. Tariq Saleem said that this historic Ajtma-e-Aam would mark the beginning of a comprehensive struggle for real change in Pakistan. He revealed that thousands of participants across Punjab have already registered digitally to take part in the event, reflecting immense public enthusiasm. 'Youth and families will actively join Jamaat-e-Islami's Ajtma-e-Aam to end the exploitative system,' he added while addressing a review meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami Gujrat.
He further stated that during the event, the party will present a complete agenda of reforms in the education and judicial sectors before the nation. Dr. Tariq Saleem criticized the existing exploitative system, saying that it has crushed the working class and small farmers, while the corporate sector's growing influence in agriculture is a continuation of the feudal structure.
'The bureaucracy in the country behaves as if it rules over the people, while politics has been confined to inheritance, family, and caste,' he remarked. 'In these circumstances, only an organized political party can dismantle the outdated system.'
Dr. Tariq Saleem added that leaders from the Islamic world, traders, industrialists, youth, and student movement representatives will also participate in the public meeting. Highlighting Jamaat-e-Islami's past achievements, he said the party had successfully launched a movement against Independent Power Producers (IPPs), which resulted in lower electricity prices and billions in savings for the national treasury.
