Muzaffarabad: The Hadi Foundation recently convened its Annual Meeting, bringing together scholars and contributors from across Pakistan and abroad, both in person and online, to review progress and discuss future priorities in education, Islamic social sciences, and community development.Chairman Dr. Nisar Hamdani opened the session, emphasizing the importance of philosophical inquiry, interdisciplinary research, and bridging theory with real-world application. General Secretary Jawad Haider presented the agenda, followed by a comprehensive report by Administrator Syed Ali Hamdani, covering activities and financial performance for 2023-2025.Program updates were shared by key contributors. Dr. Ali Raza Kazmi, Director of the Islamic Social Sciences Digital Library (ISSDL), highlighted the completion of two development phases and new international partnerships, including with a U.S.-based publishing partner.Dr. Kausar Ali from the Foundation's Philosophy Department introduced the second module of the Phi losophy Series, scheduled for April 2025, featuring lectures by Dr. Kausar, Dr. Nisar Hamdani, Dr. Meraj ul Haq (Islamic University), Dr. Fahim Khan (Senior Economist), Dr. Atiq ur Rehman (University of AJK), Dr. Ashar Awan, and Ali Hamdani. He also announced the launch of the 'Philosophical Thinking Series' and efforts to simplify Allama Iqbal's economic and social philosophy.Additional insights were shared by Dr. Madiha Riaz (University of Bahawalpur), who suggested academic boot camps and skills training. Dr. Jamal Kazmi (University of Electronic Science and Technology, China) hosted the online session and announced sponsorship for an MPhil or PhD scholar in multidisciplinary social sciences, also expressing intent to affiliate with the Foundation. Dr. Amber Abbas (Jiangsu University of Technology, China) emphasized AI training, financial literacy, and international partnerships. Dr. Ashar Awan (University of Glasgow) underscored time management and efficiency for future programs.Mumtaz Hussaini, Direc tor of the Tazkiya Program, reported on ongoing religious and socio-economic empowerment initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Qaza Namaz, Roza, and Khums-based support. Research priorities for the coming year include the societal impact of AI, philosophical questions of relativism, and the role of social sciences in national development.Planning is in progress for the 4th International Conference on Divine Economics, tentatively scheduled for September 2025 in collaboration with the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. A committee comprising Dr. Waheed Qureshi, Dr. Mubashar Naqvi, Syed Shujaat Ali Kazmi, and Jawad Haider will lead coordination with UAJK leadership.Capacity-building initiatives were also discussed. Dr. Riaz, Dr. Kazmi, and the Foundation's administrative team will lead upcoming training sessions. Sana Javid proposed institutionalizing event management training, while IT leads Ammar Kazmi and Hamza Hasan provided updates on ISSDL's digital developmen t.The meeting concluded with remarks from Dr. Hamdani, who thanked all contributors and reaffirmed the Foundation's commitment to intellectual advancement and community development.
