Lahore: JI Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has called for complete abolition of tax on salary upto 125000 per month.

" the tax be completely abolished on salary upto Rs 1 lac 25 thousands per month. Income tax ratio be reduced to half for those drawing salary more than 125000 per month. The maximum tax ratio be curtailed from 35 percent to 15 percent so that the salaried class and professional community could get relief.

According to media reports he said due to prevailing tax system the professionals and experts are quitting country which is alarming tendency. If this situation prevails then it can prove disastrous for the future of the country.

He urged the government to announce tax reforms and relief package in next budget by perceiving difficulties facing common man.

He said government has collected tax of Rs 605 billion from salaried class while this class is under severe pressure.

Government steps and its economic policies have made life of people miserable. Therefore, government should take steps for immediate relief in the budget.
