Hamas treated us well: freed Israeli woman

Gaza: An elderly Israeli woman released by Hamas has said that during her two-week imprisonment in Palestine, Hamas treated her leniently.

According to media reports, two elderly Israeli women were released between Monday and Tuesday, Hamas said that the elderly citizens were released on humanitarian grounds after mediation by Qatar and Egypt.

An elderly woman freed by Hamas spoke to the media in a wheelchair outside a Tel Aviv hospital on Tuesday as a doctor examined her and made sure she and other prisoners were fine. Medicines were given which they were taking in Israel.

In the video of her release, the woman was shown turning to shake hands with the masked man, to which the woman replied that he was gentle with us and met all our needs.

Speaking to the British news agency, the woman's grandson said that she was a peace activist who helped sick Palestinians in Gaza get medical treatment in Israel.

The woman said that when I was on the bike, my legs were on one side and the rest of my body on the other side, the youths hit me on the way, they did not break my ribs but it was painful and I had difficulty breathing.

He said that when we reached the prison, we were told that he believed in the Quran and would not harm us.

The elderly woman told the media that the hostages were kept in groups of 5, 5 people, each group was assigned a guard, they took good care of the injured.

He criticized the failure of the Israeli army to protect the communities, saying that the risk of attack by Hamas was not taken seriously. It was useless.

While Hamas has released four prisoners so far, the Israeli military dropped pamphlets in Gaza on Tuesday offering rewards and protection to Palestinians who provide information about the prisoners.
