Lahore: The 41st International Exhibition of Handmade Carpets is set to commence tomorrow (Tuesday) in Lahore. The prestigious three-day event is being jointly organized by the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

Chief Executive of TDAP, Faiz Ahmed Chadhar, will inaugurate the exhibition, which will run from October 7 to 9 at a local hotel. According to the organizers, representatives from nearly 100 foreign companies across 40 countries have registered to attend, with many delegates already arriving in Pakistan. Special arrangements have been made to provide top-quality hospitality and security for the international guests.

Chairman of the exhibition Riaz Ahmed and Chief Organizer Ijaz-ur-Rehman said that all preparations have been finalized. Pakistani manufacturers and exporters will display their products at 65 stalls, showcasing premium-quality handmade carpets with innovative designs.

They expressed confidence that the exhibition would generate strong interest among international buyers and lead to large-scale export deals, thereby boosting Pakistan's carpet industry and creating new employment opportunities.

The organizers praised TDAP's continuous support and collaborative efforts, emphasizing that the exhibition will serve as an important platform to strengthen trade ties with global buyers. The event will also feature one-on-one meetings between Pakistani exporters and foreign buyers, helping explore new trends and markets.

They added that the outcomes of these interactions are expected to yield long-term benefits for Pakistan's handmade carpet sector.
