Islamabad: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami North Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, while addressing a training workshop organized for selected candidates of the Islamic Students' Union Punjab, stated that Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) revived and immortalized Islam through his supreme sacrifice in Karbala. He emphasized that the incident of Karbala imparts the lesson that sacrificing one's life in the cause of truth is the essence of true Islam.
Dr. Tariq Saleem said the Yazidi ideology represents the worst form of oppression for humanity, civilization, and moral values. He asserted that Imam Hussain (RA) demonstrated through his resistance that even if a government is ruled by Muslims but deviates from the path of righteousness, then opposing it becomes a moral obligation. He added that the tragedy of Karbala serves as a guiding light for all those who stand for truth, particularly for the members and workers of Jamaat-e-Islami.
The workshop was also addressed by Nazim of Islamic Students' Union Punjab Ahmed Abdullah, along with Saifullah Tariq and Raja Naeem Khawar, who shed light on the importance of ideological training and the current challenges faced by the Muslim youth.
Further elaborating on global issues, Dr. Tariq Saleem said the martyrdom of the family of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Karbala is a timeless message for Muslim rulers. He warned that anti-Islamic forces, under the leadership of the United States, have united to erase Islamic values. He criticized the U.S. President for his hypocritical policies, stating that he supports India and is complicit in the bloodshed of innocent Palestinians in Gaza.
He urged the Muslim world to break its silence and unite on a common platform to confront oppression. "The so-called alliance of Muslim rulers serving American interests must abandon its indifference and stand against the tyrants of the time," he stated. Dr. Tariq Saleem also lauded the courageous stance of Iran's leadership for challenging the modern-day Yazidi forces.
