I am champion of politics of protest, not fearful of any thing: Newly elected KP CM

Peshawar: Newly Elected Chief Minister (CM) KP Sohail Khan Afridi has said during his first address in KP assembly that he is champion of politics of protest, not fearful of any thing and will be killed in Ishq-e (love) Imran Khan.

He held he had acquired this status due to his hard work and trust of people and his message will remain focused on development, equality and betterment of tribal districts.

He said in his first address no member of his family is involved in the politics neither Bhutto, Zardari or Sharif is annexed to his name. But I have acquired this status due to my hard work and ability.

I belong to tribal districts and I am proud of being Pakhtoon but Pakistani first.

Stressing on social justice and economic equality he said it will be his endeavor that gap between the have and haves not is narrowed. We have to narrow down the difference between the rich and the poor.

He laid stress that he has not reached this position due to some chit or conspiracy.

Referring to former CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur he said Ali Amin tendered resignation twice. While objection from the side of governor came to fore.

He paid tribute to Ali Amin Gandapur about announcing his resignation on the floor of the assembly.

I have no greed for the chair of chief minister ship of the province. He will not go back from his ideology at any cost.

I will go back from my ideology due to power and crown . then you are mistaken.

I assure the people I will remain what I am . No one should think I will deviate from my objective.

He announced to take steps for immediate release of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi and other detained persons.

He underlined PTI founder , Bushra Bibi and all other detained persons are in jails. But I will start to take practical steps for their release from today.

He remarked people from KP are still being martyred in terrorism. Therefore, federal government should review its Afghan policy. KP government, people, Mashran, and tribesmen should be taken into confidence.

He underscored the world is heading towards dialogue, therefore, solution to the problems lies in dialogue and reconciliation.
