If my plea would have been acted upon in 2017, we would have not wandered with begging bowl: DPM

New york: Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Ishaq Dar has said if his plea had been acted upon in 2017 then we would not have wandered with begging bowl for five years,

He said this while addressing overseas Pakistanis in New York.

He held Pakistan had become 24th largest economy of the world in 2017. But later it had gone close to become bankrupt.

Pakistan was saved from becoming bankrupt despite complexities of political situation.

Making mention of improvement in national economy he said inflation ratio has declined in the country. Policy rate has lowered and signs of economic stability are clear.

Peace was restored in the country through heavy expenses against terrorism.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has urged Muslim countries to work collectively to preserve the interests of Palestine and the principles and objectives of the Arab and Muslim Ummah.

He said if previous government had taken national economy from 24th to 20th number then he would have admired it but it made Pakistan 47th economy of the world. This cannot be appreciated.
