Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed interior ministry authorities to give financial support cheque to family members of missing person after completion of process within 15 days.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani of IHC heard contempt of court case on non appointment of chairman missing persons recovery commission and non issuance of Rs 50 lac cheque to affected family in connection with petition filed by Zainab Zaeem for recovery of her missing husband Abdullah Omar.
Khalid Abbasi advocate counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court. Additional Attorney General (AAG) Rashid Hafeez and officials of defence and interior ministries also appeared in the court.
The court directed to complete process within 15 days and issue the cheque to affected family.
The court directed father of missing person to get prepare FRC from NADRA and file copy of Nikah Nama in commission. His affidavit should also be filed in missing persons commission.
The court inquired from ministry of interior they will give support cheque to affected family in how many days.
Interior ministry authorities replied there is process of cheque for 7 to 10 days after commission report.
The court directed ministry of interior to complete the process within 15 days and get receive the cheque by affected family.
The court adjourned hearing of the case till September.
