Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed Review Committee (RC) to decide within 30 days the petition seeking removal of name of Mahrang Baloch from ECL.

The court has ordered law officers to ensure implementation of the court's orders.

The petition seeking removal of Mahrang Baloch name from ECL came up for hearing before Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Sarfraz Dogar Tuesday.

Atta Ullah Kundi advocate appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Earlier Imaan Mazari was pursuing the case of Mahrang Baloch.

The counsel Atta Ullah Kundi said petitioner was prevented from going to US on October 7. First her name was included in PCL and then the name was included in ECL. We have filed petition in review committee seeking removal of name from ECL.

The counsel requested the court to make it binding on the review committee to decide the petition within prescribed time.

CJ IHC Sarfraz Dogar remarked we give direction to decide the petition within 30 days.
