Islamabad: Petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) against closure of Peshawar motorway due to PTI protest.

Supreme Court lawyer Shafqat jan has filed a new petition in IHC that as to why he was stopped from reaching Peshawar High Court (PHC) to pursue a case by closing the motorway.

According to him case was fixed in Peshawar on September 24 and he was to appear in the court.

He took the plea he hardly entered into motorway via Islamabad toll plaza at 7 a.m . When he reached M-1 Attock pull he came to know it is closed.

It has been said in the petition that IHC has said in its decision that closure of the paths is against the basic rights of the citizens.

The closure of the roads this way without any notification , order and reasons be declared illegal.

The court has been requested to order interior secretary, secretary communication, and chief commissioner to open the roads for emergency traffic.
