New york: PM Shehbaz Sharif had a warm and most cordial exchange with Tarique Rahman, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, on the margins of UNGA in New York.

PM Shehbaz said, 'In our most useful discussion, Prime Minister Rehman and I agreed to further deepen Pakistan-Bangladesh bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity, education, tourism and people-to-people exchanges, while maintaining close coordination between our two countries on regional and global issues as well as at multilateral fora.'

He added, 'I also congratulated Khalil ur Rehman, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, on assuming the Presidency of 81st UNGA and assured him of Pakistan's support in the successful conduct of the Assembly.'
