Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on the petition seeking court's orders for arranging meeting of family members with Bushra Bibi , her access to personal physician and provision of essential items to her.

The petition filed by daughter of Bushra Bibi came up for hearing before Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir Thursday.

Counsel Suleman Akram Raja gave arguments.

As per media report, Advocate Suleman Akram Raja took the plea meeting was arranged on April 17, 2026. This was the situation that on that day her operation was conducted.

He said this was an emergency meeting which was arranged for a few minutes.

According to Suleman Akram Raja last weekly meeting was arranged on February 24, 2026. While no meeting has been arranged during seven weeks after February 24.

Only emergency meetings have been arranged.

Suleman Akram Raja said what violation of rule 265 has been committed by Bushra Bibi. This is admitted fact Bushra Bibi is sick and her surgery has been conducted.

He said the entire case is this there are some tweets of Maryam Wattoo and due to them meeting is not being allowed. When they feel it they suspend the meetings.

During the hearing of the case the mention about Maryam Riaz Wattoo's tweets was made in the court.

Suleman Akram Raja said they attached tweets of Maryam Nawaz Wattoo while that lady is not in Pakistan.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir remarked if she has no relevance then there is no need to read her tweets.

Suleman Akram Raja said no violation of rule 265 has been committed. No facts have been brought to light.

If violation takes place even then they cannot impose ban on meeting.

We have been coming to courts repeatedly since three years. we are told that it is order of his majesty meeting cannot take place.

When they will they keep him in solitary confinement for two or three months. Here too Egypt model is being pursued.

Advocate General (AG) Islamabad said this is discretionary powers of the jail superintendent what facilities have to be provided and what facilities have not to be provided to the prisoner.

Raising objection over maintainability of the petition he said they have forum of IG Jails against jail superintendent.

AG Islamabad said no meeting can take place without the permission of superintendent jail.

He said that when that woman is sitting outside then the story of meeting reaches her from where. They all do this together.

AG Islamabad said she does not tweet directly after meeting but she tells them details when she comes out. Then she tweets and harassment is caused in the country.

He took the plea country is passing through critical situation. Such situation cannot be created during this time.

The court reserved judgment on the plea in connection with meeting of her family members and personal physician with Bushra Bibi.
