Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has stayed auction of 10 cricket and 10 football grounds in federal capital.

During the hearing of the case, counsel for the petitioner said play grounds are meant for citizens. CDA cannot auction them at higher value.

The court after short hearing issued stay order on the petition filed by former chairman Metropolitan Corporation Sardar Mehtab.

The court sent notices to the CDA and MCI besides seeking reply from them.
