Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad and IG Islamabad police in person on next hearing on the petition pertaining to growing number of Shisha Caf©s in Islamabad and surge in AIDS, HIV patients.
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar took up for hearing petition filed by citizen Abdul Jabbar.
Lawyer Muhammad Sohail Khurshid appeared on behalf of the petitioner in the court.
During hearing of the case CJ IHC inquired why need has been felt to seek details about Shisha cafes.
Counsel for the petitioner took the plea several cafes are operating in Islamabad with NOC and without NOC wherein parties run from evening till late night and morning .
The counsel for the petitioner said health minister has given statement AIDS and HIV cases are on rise due to late night parties .
He prayed the court to seek complete details of Shisha cafes. The procedure for initiating action against the Shisha cafes violating rules and regulations be also unveiled.
The court while issuing notice to Chief Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and IG Police Islamabad sought reply on next hearing.
The court also directed DC and IG police to appear in person.
Hearing of the case was adjourned till next week.
