IHC to hear contempt of court plea on June 5 filed by Fawad Chaudhry for not removing his name from ECL

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear on June 5 contempt of court petition filed by former information minister Fawad Chaudhry for not removing his name from ECL despite court's orders.

The court has already issued notice to Director General (DG) Immigration and others and sought report from them till June 5.

Justice Inam Minhas held the previous hearing of the case.

Faisal Chaudhry counsel for Fawad Chaudhry had informed the court during the hearing of the case that name of his client is still in the ECL despite previous court's orders.

He requested the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against responsible persons.

The court has issued notice to DG of immigration and others after hearing preliminary arguments besides seeking reply from them till June 5.
