Lahore: Imposition of section 144 in different districts of Punjab has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC).Citizen Malik Naji Ullah filed petition in Lahore High Court Wednesday whereby legal objections have been raised on slapping section 144 in different districts of Punjab.The petitioner has taken plea in miscellaneous petition that section 144 has been imposed in different districts of Punjab on political basis and section 144 was slapped to stop peaceful public meetings of one political party PTI. Law cannot be used as political engineering and this falls under misuse of law.It is requested notification regarding imposition of section 144 be declared null and void besides suspending the notification on imposition of section 144 till the final decision of the petition.
