Karachi: The two-day Naval Medicine Seminar 2025 commenced in Karachi, marking a milestone in regional collaboration on naval healthcare and maritime medical support. Hosted by the Pakistan Navy under the auspices of the Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS), the seminar is attended by delegates from 28 WPNS member countries.

Addressing the seminar, Director General Medical Services (Navy), Surgeon Rear Admiral Rizwan Sadiq, highlighted the Pakistan Navy's commitment to medical excellence, humanitarian assistance, and international partnerships through knowledge sharing. Commandant PNS SHIFA introduced the seminar's theme, emphasizing innovation, leadership, and resilience in modern naval medical practices.

The first day featured professional presentations, discussions, and active engagement among delegates, reflecting a collaborative approach to contemporary challenges in naval healthcare and operational medical support.

The seminar provides a vital platform for exchanging ideas, expertise, and best practices in naval medicine, preventive healthcare, and medical readiness at sea, fostering mutual understanding and strengthening cooperation among regional navies.
