New york: Counselor and Political Coordinator at Pakistan's Mission to the UN Gul Qaiser Sarwani has said Kashmir was never part of India, never will be.

He said this while responding to the statement of the Indian representative.

Gul Qaiser Sarwani said Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory. This is not Pakistan's position alone, it is the position of the United Nations.

He said India itself brought the matter to the Security Council and accepted the obligation to allow the people of Jammu and Kashmir to determine their future through a UN supervised plebiscite. Nearly eight decades later, that commitment remains unfulfilled.

Gul Qaiser Sarwani said India's attempts to deflect attention through unfounded allegations of terrorism cannot conceal its record of sponsorship of terrorism across its borders, perpetration of state terrorism in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, global state-backed assassination campaign including in North America, and state patronage of violence against its minorities.

He declared that statement by India with reference to Indus Water Treaty is tantamount to distort facts deliberately and misinterpret an international agreement.

He made it clear no permission was given to amend or suspend any clause of Indus Water Treaty unilaterally.

He said India has perpetrated aggression against Pakistan several time which is blatant violation of International law and UN charter.

He once again demanded India should stop terrorism under its sponsorship.

India backs TTP, Al-khawarij and BLA, he added.
